Leaders who are coaches as well as managers, is what RANA needed to develop as the company grew. We had many talented staff with potential but they needed the right training and development. How fortuitous that we found Barry Jansen. Barry facilitates the Leadership Development Program for Life Sciences Association of Manitoba (LSAM). This program has become an integral component of RANA’s internal leadership development program since 2012. To date five graduates of the program have become managers and two others are in senior roles. Barry provides the ManagementPro psychometric profiling tool and more importantly, facilitates interpreting the results. All front line managers, senior managers, and many teams of front line staff have completed this assessment tool. This has led to greater understanding of our colleagues and ourselves, resulting in the development of high performing teams. Another tool used has been the EQ-I 2.0. This has been a very insightful tool for our leaders-in-training who have gone on to develop action plans to work on any emotional and/or social gaps.
