John Paddock

I have been involved in hockey, either as a player, coach, or General Manager, for well over thirty years. I have coached in the National Hockey League, the American Hockey League, and the Western Hockey League and am currently the Head Coach and General Manager for the Regina Pats. Over the years I have come across a number of tools that were designed to help increase a coach’s self awareness about who they are but none of them worked as well at hitting the mark as the CoachPOP. Our hockey club decided to hire Barry Jansen from JansenHR to help our coaching staff and players get a better understanding of ourselves. By profiling the coaching staff using the CoachPOP and profiling the players using the SportsPro, Barry was able to effectively bring our team together in a very practical, informative, and entertaining way during our 2016-17 training camp. The staff and the players found the profiling exercise extremely valuable and it has no doubt contributed to us having one of our best seasons to date. Barry’s experience in sport and knowledge of the tools was greatly appreciated by our club and we would strongly recommend any team at any level and for any sport to use Barry and the profiling tools if you are serious about moving your team forward.
